Semi-Homemade Tomato Cream Pasta
#38: Apparently you’re supposed to look underneath all the burners before you turn them on. #SCP
I found this bottlecap when it started burning.
In attempt to get rid of some of the stuff in our kitchen/I was hungry but Justin wasn’t hungry, I made a quick dinner. This is perfect for a quick dinner when you want to freshen up a dish, but can be scaled up and down easily.
Serving size: 1
Pasta sauce, any kind
1 clove garlic, minced
4-6 fresh basil leaves, chiffonaded (sp?)
[about] 1/3 C. milk or half and half
1. Once you determine that nothing is cooking besides your food, sauté the shallot and garlic in a bit of oil on medium heat.
2. Add in pasta sauce and heat on low until hot.
3. Take off the heat, stir in basil and milk.
4. Pour over pasta and you’re ready to go!
Optional garnish: basil or Parmesan cheese
Nothing glamorous, but it gets the job done when you’re hungry!
